About the role:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this position will be accountable for the safe and reliable day to day operational management of the Orange and Cowra Depots.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Daily operational management & supervision of all company staff and contractors
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Comply with all external regulatory requirements – including BFM
  • Oversee freight assets & scheduling functions to optimise vehicle efficiencies
  • Maintain required customer service levels
  • Manage a team of drivers, administrators and scheduling staff including rostering staff in accordance with operational requirements
  • Supervise Inventory Management of bulk & packaged goods stock
  • Occasional travel to the Cowra Depot (overnights not required)

 

The successful applicant will require:

  • Previous experience in heavy vehicle &/or fuel industry an advantage
  • Proven understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility legislation
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with proven record of building & maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident decision-maker with ability to work autonomously & lead a team within a diverse logistics operation
  • Well-developed organisational, problem solving and time management skills
