Job Description

Join the team at Lowes Petroleum, where safety, teamwork, and great service drive everything we do. We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Combination Driver to join our Burnie team, delivering fuel safely and efficiently to our valued customers across the region on a Permanent Night Shift roster.

Key responsibilities :

  • Safely load, transport and deliver fuel products to retail, commercial, agricultural and industrial customers
  • Prepare trucks for upcoming deliveries
  • Perform daily vehicle pre-start checks and maintain accurate log book records
  • Manage fatigue and comply with all transport and safety regulations
  • Build strong relationships with our customers and represent Lowes with professionalism
  • Complete all duties safely, efficiently, and within required timeframes

Skills and Experience:

  • A valid HC Licence with experience in heavy vehicle operation (MC is an advantage)
  • Fuel experience is beneficial but not essential – full training provided
  • Dangerous Goods Licence (advantageous)
  • SLP Accreditation (advantageous)
  • BFM Statement of Attainment
  • Commercial Driver Medical Fitness
  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Ability to follow procedures and work well in a team environment
